Artist Statement
My work reflects a lifelong dedication to form, spatial balance, and the emotional resonance of abstract sculpture. Working with wood, stone, and bronze, I reduce complex human experiences and relationships into clean, essential lines and harmonious volumes. I carve and polish my materials to highlight their natural warmth and grain, creating smooth, undulating curves that interact dynamically with light and shadow. Through simple yet powerful geometric and organic forms, I seek to evoke feelings of unity, peace, and timeless elegance.

Karoly Veress is a Hungarian-born Canadian sculptor renowned for his minimalist, elegant abstract forms in stone, wood, and metal. Over a long and distinguished career, he has developed a refined artistic language centered on balance, purity of line, and fluid geometry.
