13th Street Winery is pleased to support Canadian artists with the launch of the Expression PROJECT, an initiative designed to foster opportunities across art events, exhibitions, and community partnerships. The project deepens the connection between wine and art at the winery — a connection at the core of who we are.
The Expression Project is part of our commitment to sustainability. As a Sustainable Winegrowing Ontario certified winery, we’re dedicated to supporting practices and programs that contribute positively to our community and our environment.
Expression Project Scholarships & Awards
OCAD University
In partnership with OCAD University, we created the 13th Street Winery Expression Award, established in memory of artist Karoly Veress. Each year, a financial award is granted to a 3rd- or 4th-year student in the Sculpture/Installation Program who demonstrates exceptional talent and dedication to their craft.
Brock University
This annual scholarship supports a second-year student in Brock University’s Department of Visual Arts who has achieved strong academic standing and shows promise within their artistic practice.
Ottawa Art Gallery & University of Ottawa
The Expression Award is presented annually to a student in the University of Ottawa’s Master of Fine Arts (MFA) program, selected by the Ottawa Art Gallery. The award recognizes remarkable creativity, innovation, and artistic growth.
