Meet Chef Josh

 

Chef Josh Berry has been 13th Street Winery’s estate chef since 2018. A true Niagara local he was born and raised in Niagara, trained at Niagara College Culinary School and has worked the past sixteen years in the Niagara culinary industry. His philosophy of working hard and his passion for cooking have helped him get to where he is today.

Chef Josh’s commitment for cooking with local ingredients is evident at 13th Street Winery’s seasonal bistro and on menus for our many events. From casual Burger Day BBQs to elegant 6-course wine and food pairing menus his flare for treating food as works of art is always evident.  However it is the taste of his presentations that have crystallized the growth of his reputation.

Working closely with 13th Street Sommelier Corinne Maund he strives to present culinary masterpieces that reflect Niagara while showcasing 13th Street wines. As estate chef for 13th Street, Chef Josh has been able to expand his culinary skills, continually pushing himself to try new things in the kitchen while also staying true to his fundamental philosophy of supporting local and allowing wine and food flavours be the stars of his creations.
